The courtship is lifelong. But it requires some intentionality on the parts of both, and it sounds like your grandparents had a wondrous wisdom that kept the fires burning brightly. It reminds me of a science teacher I work with here at the school. He and his wife have been married for over 25 years, I think, but he still refers to her as his "bride," and they still go everywhere together, hold hands, and everything. It's luminous! Thanks for sharing this reminiscence about your grandfather.
